Three Little Monkeys....

This blog was created as an on-line scrapbook of our lives as a family of 5. It was originally created to keep family and friends posted during the journey which brought our son home from Seoul, Korea in Dec. 2006.

Happy New Year!

"Silent Night, Holy night,

All is gone, Alllll right

Round yonder merchant

Mother and child

Holy instant tender and wild......"

Above is Ellie's translation of the famous hymn as sung to Mikey last evening driving home from dinner. Read it again - I do think we have a new post-Christmas anthem.

We were so happy to spend the last day of 2007 with Auntie Barbie at Mall of America. Ellie rode her first roller coaster with Barb, who is visiting from Washington. Katherine and I rode the Timberland Twister.... either I am getting old or those rides are a bit more wild, perhaps a little of both. Mikey drove a remote control boat, or at least he thinks he did. Mikey enjoyed the rides zipping by and all of the activity. We visited the Rainforest Cafe where there is a robotic aligator that he thought was pretty cool, but was a little startled by the 6ft tall green treefrog that approached trying to high five him. MOA can be tough to process when you have only been around for 18 months.

We wound up 2007 by visiting our local Chinese buffet and then came home to watch movies and eventually the ball drop. The girls stayed up, quarreling, until 12am when we proptly wisked them off to bed. We are still party animals, as you can plainly see.

Praying for a happy and healthy 2008 for all of our family and friends! May God bless you all with peace and happiness in this new year.
